The Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP®) designation is a mark of excellence in the HR field, representing a high standard of knowledge and professional competency. To ensure that all candidates meet these standards, we have established clear requirements and eligibility criteria. Educational Requirements
To qualify for the CHRP® certification, candidates must meet one of the following educational criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Equivalent educational qualifications or credentials recognized by the CHRP® certification board.
Work Experience Requirements
In addition to educational qualifications, candidates must also demonstrate relevant HR work experience:
- Minimum of two years of full-time professional experience in human resources for candidates with a bachelor’s degree.
- For candidates without a degree, five years of full-time HR experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis, demonstrating substantial HR responsibilities and achievements.
